Hi, I’m Nishanth. My work is with people who want to move better, get stronger and stay independent — and most of them are recovering from something significant.
I hold an MSc in Sports Medicine from the University of Central Lancashire, and I bring that understanding of loading, biomechanics and exercise physiology to three areas in particular: older adults, post-operative rehabilitation, and neurological conditions. After a joint replacement or a fracture repair, progressing strength work properly is, in my experience, one of the things that most affects how complete a recovery feels. That is the part I pay close attention to.
In neurological rehabilitation I work most often with people managing stroke and Parkinson’s disease, focusing on the practical business of walking, transferring, and keeping the gains going long-term.
My further training includes corrective exercise, functional dry needling, strength and conditioning, and sports nutrition.
My approach is person-centred in a straightforward way: I explain what is happening in your body, why a given exercise is on your programme, and what progress should look like — so you are an active participant rather than a passenger.
Away from work I stay active, and I create educational content on nutrition and movement because good health information should not be hard to find.
