Hi, I’m Palak. My particular interest is in older adults, and in anyone whose balance has become the thing that limits their life.
Losing confidence in your own footing can be quietly isolating. People stop going out, stop seeing friends and stop moving — and each of those makes the next fall more likely, not less. My work is about breaking that cycle: assessing balance and strength properly, identifying what is actually causing the instability, and rebuilding it with graded, specific work that is safe to do at home.
I completed my Master’s in Sports Rehabilitation at Middlesex University, and I apply that same structured approach to people who are not athletes. I work with post-surgical and post-injury recovery, and with long-term conditions including Parkinson’s disease, stroke and multiple sclerosis. Alongside my core practice I hold further training in acupuncture and dry needling, and in spinal manipulation and mobilisation.
Seeing people at home lets me build a real relationship and understand the specific challenges they face. What I enjoy most is watching small improvements turn into meaningful ones — moving comfortably again, getting back to a hobby, feeling more in control.
Outside work I keep active, travel when I can, and spend time with family and friends.
